  • CBWG White Nose Syndrome Position Statement

    • The Colorado Bat Working Group recognizes the severe and ominous threat of White-Nose Syndrome (WNS) to the bat populations in Colorado, and as such, we strongly support the implementation of recommended decontamination protocols (USFWS White Nose Protcols, Colorado Division of Wildlife White Nose Syndrome Page), and thoughtful consideration of relevance and justification of proposed bat related work within the state. Additionally, we urge all responsible agencies and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive and collaborative Plan of Action regarding WNS in Colorado as soon as possible. For more information visit the USFWS white nose syndrome site (http://www.fws.gov/whitenosesyndrome/)
