Look Alikes: The only species in this genus in Colorado.

Spore-Producing Period: July-October.

Habitat: Marshy meadow along brook, in shade of willows. Elev. 7000 ft.

Distribution: E Asia, Manitoba to Labrador, south to Texas and Florida. In Colorado known from one location in Douglas Co.; however, the species has not been relocated at this site or seen elsewhere in Colorado since 1948.
