Look Alikes: P. truncata and P. wrightiana have glabrous stipes and rachises, and sessile or short-stalked pinnae.

Spore-Producing Period: July-September.

Habitat: Dry shaded ledges and crevices of limestone, sandstone, and basalt. Elev. 4000-7200 ft.
