Look Alikes: F. campestris, F. saximontana, F. baffinensis, F. minutiflora, and F. brachyphylla ssp. coloradensis are caespitose and have awned lemmas.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: July-August.

Habitat: Alpine tundra and dry subalpine grasslands. Elev. 11,000-12,000 ft.
