Orchidaceae (Orchid Family)
Look Alikes:
Not likely to be confused with other taxa. This is the only
species in this genus in Colorado.
Flowering/Fruiting Period:
June-July/August-September.
Habitat:
Seeps on sandstone cliffs and hillsides; springs, sometimes hot
springs. Elev. 4800-8000 ft.

Distribution:
British Columbia, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, south
to Texas, Arizona, California and central Mexico. In Colorado in Archuleta,
Chaffee, Delta, Mesa, Moffat, Montezuma, Montrose and Saguache Cos.
