Cypripediaceae (Lady's Slipper Family)

Synonyms: Cypripedium pubescens, C. parviflorum

Look Alikes: C. fasciculatum has small purple or dull brown-purple flowers. Calypso bulbosa has a single pink flower and a single leaf.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers June-July.

Habitat: Aspen groves and ponderosa pine/Douglas-fir forests. Elev. 7400- 8500 ft.

Distribution: Yukon east to Newfoundland, south to Louisiana, Arizona and New Mexico. Colorado in Clear Creek, Custer, Douglas, El Paso, Huerfano, Jefferson, La Plata, Larimer, Las Animas, Montrose, Park and Pueblo Cos.
