Look Alikes: C. hassei has a rounded perigynia, while those of C. livida taper to an acute apex.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Fruits mature in July-August.

Habitat: Rich fens; graminoid dominated mineral-rich wetlands. Elev. 9000-10,000 ft.
