Scrophulariaceae (Figwort Family)

Look Alikes: P. ophianthus and P. jamesii have larger, more inflated flowers (15-24 mm long and 7-10 mm broad).

Flowering/Fruiting Period: May-June/late May-June.

Habitat: Sagebrush, pinyon-juniper, and desert grassland communities on sandstone and shale, in clayey loam soils. Elev. 4900-6700 ft.
