Rosaceae (Rose Family)

Synonym: Rubus acaulis, R. arcticus ssp. acaulis

Look Alikes: C. pubescens has white flowers, leaves that are acute or acuminate at the apex, and lacks trailing shoots. Fragaria species have white flowers, stolons, and leaves with simple, unbranched veins.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Late June-early July/late July-August; however, this species seldom fruits in Colorado.

Habitat: Willow carrs, mossy streamsides. Elev. 8600-9700 ft.
