Coptaceae (Meadowrue Family)

Look Alikes: T. heliophilum grows in open sunny sites (heliophilum = sun loving) while most other Thalictrum species prefer at least some shade. T. fenderi has larger leaflets (10-17 mm long and 8-12 mm wide), 7-14 carpels per pistillate flower, and occurs in aspen groves and meadows.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: June-July/July-August.

Habitat: Sparsely vegetated, steep shale talus slopes of the Green River Formation. Elev. 6300-8800 ft.
