Polygonaceae (Knotweed Family)

Look Alikes: E. brandegei is distinguished from other Eriogonum species with which it occurs by its leaves, which are densely tomentose on both sides and by its unbranched flowering stalk.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: July-August/August-September.

Habitat: Open sagebrush or pinyon-juniper stands; white to grayish, soils from limestone to shale; Dry Union Formation and lower members of the Morrison Formation. Elev. 5700-7600 ft.
