Onagraceae (Evening-Primrose Family)

Synonym: Oenothera flava var. acutissima

Look Alikes: O. flava taproot is fleshy and stout, and capsule wings are 1- 2 mm wide.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers in late May-June.

Habitat: Sandy, gravelly and rocky soils, in seasonally wet areas; in meadows, depressions, or along arroyos in mixed conifer forest to sage-brush scrub. Elev. 5300-8500 ft.
