Fabaceae (Pea Family)

Look Alikes: A. musiniensis has dorsiventrally compressed pods. A. amphioxis var. vespertinus has vivid pink flowers. A. chamaeleuce pods lack the prominent dorsal structure and elliptic cross section.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers late April-early June.

Habitat: Sandy, sometimes gypsiferous soils of valley benches and gullied foothills. Elev. 4300-5600 ft.
