Look Alikes: A. kentrophyta ssp. implexus has spine tipped leaflets.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers May-August.

Habitat: Sandstone rock ledges, fissures of domed slickrock, talus under cliffs, and sometimes in sandy washes. Elev. 5000-5500 ft.
