Look Alikes: Possibly derived from a cross of A. lonchocarpus and A. scopulorum. A. lonchocarpus has 1-9 leaflets and glabrous pods. A. scopulorum has truly connate stipules and sharply trigonous, laterally compressed pods.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: May-June/June.

Habitat: Sandy and gravelly flats and terraces, among junipers and pinyon pines, on sandstone. Elev. 6800-7000 ft.
