Look Alikes: Not likely to be confused with other species in this habitat in southwestern Colorado.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Late April-May/May.

Habitat: Sandy and gravelly ridges on red sandstone. Also on Mancos Shale and on substrates derived from the Morrison Formation in the eastern part of its range. Elev. 4800-5800 ft.
