Synonym: Cryptantha osterhoutii

Look Alikes: This species is one of the most distinct in the Oreocarya genus because of its small size.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: April-early June/June.

Habitat: Dry, barren sites, in reddish-purple decomposed sandstone. Elev. 4500-6100 ft.
