Boraginaceae (Borage Family)

Synonym: Cryptantha caespitosa

Look Alikes: O. humilis has a more erect growth form, and does not form mats as large as O. caespitosa.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Late April-June/May-early July.

Habitat: Sparsely vegetated shale knolls; with pinyon-juniper or sage-brush; usually with other cushion plants. Elev. 6200-8100 ft.
