Asteraceae (Sunflower Family)

Synonym: Parthenium alpinum

Look Alikes: B. tetraneuris has densely hairy achenes and is not known from Weld Co.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers in May.

Habitat: Along ridges and low hills, in areas devoid of grassy vegetation, usually with other cushion plants. Elev. 5400-5800 ft.
