Asteraceae (Sunflower Family)

Look Alikes: E. nematophyllus tends to have wider leaves. It is possible that these are the same species.

Flowering/Fruiting Period: Flowers late May-June.

Habitat: Small canyons, in soils derived from sandstone of the Weber Formation. Often partially shaded by short-statured pinyon and juniper trees. Elev. 5200-7000 ft.
